Crock Pot Shredded Chicken


  • Chicken thighs or breasts (Thighs with skin on will have the best flavor, if you are scared of meat, start with breasts or no skin no bone thighs

  • Sea salt

  • Lemon, lime or apple cider vinegar

  • Cajun seasoning (or any seasoning really)


  1. Turn the crock pot on LOW for 5 hours or HIGH for 3 hours

  2. Put chicken in the crock pot and sprinkle with sea salt and cajun seasoning. You can put a little bit of olive oil on the bottom if you are using breasts.

  3. Cover with a lid.

  4. Shred the chicken 30 minutes before eating it and remove the lid Let it crisp up a little. There are so many variations of this and it depends on how much meat you use etc... Try it out it is a staple in my house!
