  • Fats are an energy source to fuel the body. The energy from fats is a steady and long lasting energy, it gives us the sensation of feeling full for longer.

  • Vitamins A, D, E and K all depend on fats to absorb into our system. These are our fat soluble vitamins

  • When we increase healthy fats into the diet and minimize or eliminate rancid/denatured fats, we are giving the body the building blocks it needs to operate at its best!


When deciding what to use, think virgin, unrefined, organic, cold pressed oils such as:

  • Olive oil

  • Coconut oil

  • Avocado oil

  • MCT oil

  • Sesame oil

Animal Fats are a great option only if they are sourced from grass fed, ethically raised animals!

  • Ghee

  • Tallow

  • Lard

Avoid highly processed oils. These oils are made using high heat and chemicals...

  • Canola

  • Sunflower

  • Safflower

  • Vegetable Oils

  • Margarine
